| Geddie Feed & Seed Co. has been in business for 57 years. It was first opened by Thomas E. Geddie Sr. on October 1, 1955 on the corner of West Tyler Street and Pinkerton Street. |
| In 1987 the store relocated to North Faulk Street. The large metal building which had housed an old pea canning plant was built some 60 years prior to Mr. Geddie Sr. purchasing the property. In 1995, the store was purchased by Thomas E. Geddie Jr., the son of Mr. Geddie. |
| We have built our business on trust and family values. We believe our customers come first and try to always have plenty of products on our shelves to suit everyone. We offer many years of experience in the retail business and know what does best in our wonderful East Texas area. Every year we support local 4-H groups as well as FFA chapters. We also donate to the Henderson County Horse Committee and local churches to help with fund raisers. We believe in these programs and are always ready to help. We hope to be your source for the information you need, when you need it. We are here to help make your lawn the envy of the neighborhood or to help you win that first place ribbon at the livestock show! |

| Thomas E. Geddie Jr., or better known as Tommy, has strived to build and expand Geddie Feed & Seed since 1995. On April 1, 2007, he purchased another long time Athens business, Athens Feed & Supply and combined the two. Geddie Feed & Seed offered almost 2,000 products to local farmers and ranchers, pet owners and horse enthusiast's. The store also offers a large selection of lawn and garden products and planting seeds as well as spring and fall plants including tomatoes, peppers, cantelopes and many others. |

| A look back...and to the future! |
| The future is looking very bright for our business. In September of 2011, we started planning a complete overhaul and updating of the business. We've shortened the name, updated our look- both online and with a huge updating to our store, and have expanded our product offering to include unique garden decor and stylish home decor and gifts. If you haven't been to Geddie's yet, you don't know what you're missing! |
